Music is a powerful tool when presented properly. By
coupling that power with the good news of the gospel of
Christ, extraordinary results are produced. Southern
Gospel Music is such a medium. The Gospel River Boys are
a group of men who have committed their time and talents
to using Southern Gospel Music to present the Gospel of
Jesus Christ.
Each member of the group, Gary Morgan, Jerry Fisher,
Garry Fisher, Jack Halchak, and our Coach Driver, Alan
Carver, has answered the calling of God in their lives
to ministering to the needs of others through music. The
ministry of the Gospel River Boys, singing a traditional
southern gospel style of music, has been full time for
eight years. From this experience comes a keen
sensitivity to the needs of the moment, in most any
setting. This full time ministry, which averages 160
dates per year, has taken the group to areas throughout
the United States to spread the good news of the gospel
of Jesus Christ at many churches, concerts and fairs.
The Gospel River Boys have recorded several projects
over the eight years, which have been well received by
their audiences. The group’s recordings are made up of
songs of encouragement and hope in Christ, which are
sure to be enjoyed both in concert and on CD, by
listeners of all ages.
In October 2002, the Gospel River Boys signed a
contract with Lamp Music of Whitesburg, Georgia, a major
recording Company. We are also blessed to have a great
songwriter working with the Gospel River Boys, John
Daren Rowsey. He has written songs for such groups as,
Karen Peck and New River, Gold City and Bill Gaither of
Gaither Vocal Band and now the Gospel River Boys. Over
the past year, the group has also been featured on
networks such as Daystar Network Channel 61, GAC as well
as the Gospel Music Television Network (GMTN).
In November 2004, they signed an exclusive contract
with Capitol Artists of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Capitol Artists is one of the premier Southern Gospel
promotional companies today, with a long history of
promoting the finest in Southern Gospel Groups such as
The Blackwood Brothers, the Skyline Boys and several
other well know groups.
The sincerity, desire to serve God and talent of each
member provides a foundation which will make the music
of the Gospel River Boys reach out to uplift and
encourage the Christian, as well as “sowing seeds” for
winning the lost to Christ. Throughout a concert with
the Gospel River Boys, the listener will realize the
strong sense of Christian joy with which the group
serves. From the first note to the last, the listener is
exhilarated, ministered to and entertained. A concert
with Gary, Jerry, Garry and Jack will be one you will
keep in your heart and mind for a long time to come. |
